When functionality, architectural vision, and public safety converge in a large-scale infrastructure project, only the most trusted and innovative partners are invited to the table. VIVA Railings is proud to have contributed to one of the most ambitious airport upgrades in the United States — the transformation of the Denver International Airport (DEN) Concourse and Great Hall.

A Benchmark in High-Traffic Public Infrastructure

Airports demand more than beauty. They require safety, durability, and thoughtful design integration. For this landmark project, VIVA was entrusted with the design, engineering and installation of these railing systems:

  • SHOE Structural Glass Railing System at the expansive and light-filled Great Hall, and Concourse

These systems were chosen for their modern aesthetic, structural integrity, and low-profile design that enhances the architectural transparency and openness of the terminal.

SHOE™ Structural Glass Railing: Elegance Meets Performance

The SHOE System features sleek, tempered laminated glass panels anchored in a base shoe channel —  delivering a clean, minimalist profile with no visible posts. At DEN, the SHOE System maximizes sightlines and ambient lighting while providing essential fall protection for passengers. This system is ICC/IBC compliant, engineered to withstand commercial-level impact forces and ideal for large crowds and public venues.
