Project Overview
The SLAT Railing System is an array-type aluminum railing that features vertical slats installed at varying rotational angles, creating a visual play of light and shadow. This design consists of a series of aluminum slats arranged in a linear fashion, offering a sleek and modern look. By fabricating the slats at different angles, it is possible to create a wide range of visual effects, from subtle and understated to bold and eye-catching.
A standout custom feature of this installation is the integrated wood-topped drink shelf that runs along the top of the SLAT Picket Railing, transforming the system from a simple circulation barrier into a functional social amenity for students and visitors. It's a small detail that adds real value to the outdoor experience, supporting the campus's emphasis on connection and shared use.
