THE TEXAS STAR RAILING SYSTEM

Mr. Scott himself wanted a “star” to add a robust railing element to the interior. To accomplish that, we “box” fabricated a custom Texas star such that there was an element of thickness to it. Featured in a repeated pattern throughout the stairwell and balcony, Featured in a repeated pattern throughout the stairwell and balcony, the raised icon represents Texas beautifully as a timeless classical piece within VIVA’s railing system.

PROJECT TEAM

Texas DPS was a Custom Design and Fabrication project by Randall Scott Architects, Inc.; they had a specific vision of what they wanted the railings to look like and how it would complement the rest of the interiors. The goal was to use modern materials and have theold world Texas charm. This was accomplished by bold elements making up the structure of the railing along with a custom“Texas Star” at the center of the panels.

VIVA worked through all the design coordination with SpawGlass (General Contractor) and the architect and the final result was a railing system that all parties, including VIVA, are very proud of.
