Structural Glass

The VIVA SHOE™ system is a vertical cantilevered structural glass baluster railing and guard system. This system is top- or fascia-mounted to steel stringers or balcony slab edges with continuous aluminum mounting base shoes.

SGP (Ionoplast) is structurally stronger and offers superior edge stability. VIVA provides a five-year warranty for SGP interlayers, compared to a one-year warranty for PVB, reflecting its superior long-term performance.

For optimal performance, concrete slabs and steel stringers should be within 1/8 inch in 10 ft horizontally and vertically. Correcting out-of-tolerance conditions ensures a plumb and level railing installation.

Our patented Dry-Set system uses mechanical compression along the entire length of the glass. This eliminates the need for messy cement-based grouts and allows for much faster installation and easier glass replacement.

Yes. The system is engineered to withstand wind loads in accordance with ASTM E1300. We also offer windborne-debris-impact resistant options for hurricane zones.
