New sublimation inks have opened up a vast array of possibilities in not only modular railing but exterior buildings, furniture, and even facades. Parts are given a foundation-based coat and then prepped for the next step. They are then carefully wrapped in a pre-patterned sleeve with a specific wood grain pattern chosen by the customer. Each panel is carefully vacuum-sealed and placed into an oven, and the final result is baked in the coating, not just on the surface, so it becomes highly weather resistant. The final result is a beautifully smooth finish with the look of wood but the durability of powder-coated finishes.
