The architectural teams included O’Connell Robertson architects with offices in Austin and San Antonio who handled the design, Skanska USA was the contractor and VIVA Railings, Inc. was chosen to install the unique BLADE Stainless Steel Wire Mesh Railing System.

This beautiful Stainless Steel Stair Railing gave a safe and secure feel to the new walkways within the halls of the college. The BLADE Interior Railing system, allowed ACC Elgin to have a custom design fabricated and installed by the In-House Design & Engineering VIVA Railings Team.

OPENING DAY AT AUSTIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE

At the opening ceremony, Bastrop County Judge Paul Pape and State Sen. Kirk Watson, D-Austin, said ACC Elgin will contribute greatly to the city’s economy, and they encouraged the community to get involved.“I believe this campus will be a focal point for growth and improvement for all of our citizens,” Pape said. ACC President Richard Rhodes said he hopes to establish a transfer program with Texas A&M University.
